I got an ask about my colouring method like a billion years ago and since i finally have like a solid method for the comic i took some screenshots!! I do all my colouring in photoshop cs6.

I start with picking the colours for the overall mood or atmosphere i want for each panel. usually if the base colour combination of the panels works, then  the page will still look good when I lay down the flats.

I then start picking colours. if a colour isnt working for me, I use the colour replacement tool in photoshop (image>adjustments>replace color) this cuts down on time a lot.

  1. pen brush used: Akashiya sai
  2. I picked these up from my japan trip last year but you can get them on amazon/ebay or even art shop(ask the staff)
  3. I used nothing else other than the marker, water blends only. 
  4. These are sketchbook doodles.
  5. I am still working on these flower buds, and will probably make some pins/stickers, not decided yet. will keep you guys posted.
  6. You can get a tattoo, I would be honored. Please tell me if you do, i’d love to see photos! 🙂  
  7. regarding the way I draw: I have done chinese painting before (like 18years ago…) so maybe its from there…only holds brushes like that.
