Can I just point out that this was done WITHOUT computers. This isn’t some Tarzan CG-assisted sequence those metal bars are all done by people and it looks totally convincing.

For a cartoon made in the 1930s, this is quite the dynamic shot. At the time, movies & cartoons incorporated much more static scenes, in fact, they’re so static that they sometimes looked like filmed plays. It seems that was the case as not not confused audiences.

Anyway, cool scene.

You have to remember animation was at it’s infancy at this time, if it wasn’t for the freedom animators had at this time, the medium would have never grown.
